Hoegako is a traditional procession held in conjunction with Tokaebisu in Osaka to wish for prosperous business and family fortunes. �

It is said that the festival began in the Edo period when Osaka merchants carried their favorite geiko on palanquins to Imamiya Ebisu Shrine, and at its peak, as many as 100 palanquins competed with each other in splendor.
